Vanessa Daves

Vanessa Daves is a senior journalism and Spanish major with a minor in religious studies. Vanessa graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School in Prairie Village, Kansas in 2013. She was a reporter for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln student newspaper before interning at the St. Joseph (Missouri) News-Press, the Lincoln Journal Star and The Daily Herald in the Chicago suburbs. She was a USA Today collegiate correspondent and a fellow at the Omaha World-Herald. After graduating in May, Vanessa plans to pursue a career as a reporter on the East Coast.
