Jake Crandall got started in photojournalism at Shawnee Mission East high school in Prairie Village, Kan. He joined the school newspaper, the Harbinger, where he fell in love with documenting others with his camera. He continued his journalism education at University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he is currently a senior. He joined the Daily Nebraskan and has been a part of the “Global Eyewitness” program, which has taken him to Dominican Republic, Indonesia, Ecuador and Nepal to use multimedia to document poverty. He has interned at Dubuque Telegraph Herald, Omaha World-Herald and is currently a photo intern at the Lincoln Journal Star.
